Sierra upgrades mangOH open source hardware platform for IoT modules

Sierra Wireless has released samples of next generation designs for its open source hardware platform – mangOH. The new mangOH Yellow ‘super sensor’ is designed for developers, with Sierra hoping to get in on the ground floor with a versatile prototyping platform that could eventually turn into a product, driving the firm’s wireless module and service business. Currently, mangOH is focused on the cellular ecosystem, including the new LTE-M and NB-IoT technologies. Sierra is one of the more successful companies, via its wireless modules in the business-to-business IoT game. Wireless Watch’s sister service, Rethink IoT, first covered mangOH back in June 2015.
