Sckipio doubles the speed of 212 MHz G.fast connections

Chip vendor Sckipio specializes in G.fast, the souped-up copper technology which some operators see as an affordable alternative to fiber for backhaul and fronthaul. The company said last week that it was ready to launch the second version of 212 MHz G.fast, and that it can offer it in bonded mode, multiplexing two lines at a time. This puts it back in the G.fast race after Broadcom seemed to have got one step ahead, introducing 212 MHz first in October. And Sckipio has also gone back to the money market to raise funds.
